2009 Bike Blessing
REFLECTIONS FROM Bike Blessing 2009
Revelation Riders would like to thank everyone who came and took part in the 4th annual "blessing of the bikes". It was a great blessing indeed. At last count we had 98 Bikes with over 130 people in attendance. The 70 + degree temperature made for a perfectly enjoyable ride. We thank Edward G. Gaibl and the rest of the Blue Knights for being our safety team for this ride. We didn't plan for them to be here (God did) but we sure were glad they showed up. We have received many words of thanks from the riders who participated; most of them never put their boots on the ground once! Thank you to all, we hope the Lord will continue to bless you this riding season. We pray that if you felt the Lord calling you during your day with us, that you will not ignore the call. Come and join us each week as we live our life in the real presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We look forward to sharing another year of safe riding as many of you will come down again to join us throughout the year. (Please check for future rides and join us if you can) A special thanks to the STAR 400 group, The Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter "F", Red Knights, and our friends from the Blue Knights. God bless your riding season, we hope to ride with you all again soon.
Do you know who owns this Harley hat?
After the blessing someone came up to me who lost his hat on the ride. We found it and would like to return it to him. Please call, write, contact us and we will get the hat back to you.
This is the day that the Lord has made...Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Dear Members of St. James and Revelation Riders:

What an honor to be involved in this years "Blessing of the Bikes". Words cannot describe what took place here at St. James Lutheran Church Saturday April 25, 2009. I will attempt to do just that for those of you who missed it but unless you were here to see, feel, hear and touch the atmosphere I'm afraid I will fall woefully short. The planning that went into this event was larger in scale at every level, from the prepping work at each meeting leading up to the event to the set up including the printing press in the church office, it was an amazing organizational and logistical success! Thanks be to GOD! The set up started early in the morning around 9:00 AM. Tables and chairs were arranged for 80 plus to sit and eat. I for one thought that would be more than enough. (I looked later to see every seat taken and people standing up to eat) Around 12:00 Noon the bikes started coming in steady. The church parking lot was full of bikes by 1:00 PM. People were everywhere. (At last count we had 98 Motorcycles and upwards of 130 people) The food was flowing as fast as the flames were cooking! The team work that took place was better than any fine oiled machine I've ever been a part of...there was kitchen prep work that needed to be done, parking attendants to organize the bikes, cooking, restocking, cleaning, registering, ushering, photography, printing press, greeters, candle duty, scribes, readers, runners, helmet takers and on and on it goes. This event could not have taken place without the amazing effort of all those who volunteered their time, talents and treasures. Pastor Dornan's anointing and preaching left everyone who partook in the blessing with that familiar burning feeling. I even heard someone say they felt the spirit move through them during that lying on of hands. The Holy Spirit was definitely moving through this place and all who participated in this event could see and hear the impact it had on many of the people. After Pastor's individual anointing and blessing of each rider, we returned the helmets and went to the bikes for the start of our short ride through the Blue Hills. The blessing for this ride was having the Blue Knights offer to do a little blocking for us as we processed close to 100 motorcycles through the streets of Canton & Randolph. They were a great blessing indeed, as Frank Vassallo (Sergeant at arms for STAR 400) said; my feet never touched the ground. Thanks again to the Blue Knights.

If you have a story to share about the event, please send it to me so I can add it to the Revelation Riders history book.

Well, that's my story and now I will attempt to thank all who were involved, please forgive me if I miss anyone... THANK YOU>Linda Wabrek, Candy Hsish, Cheryl Burke, Jennifer Gardner, Paula McNeil, David McNeil Jr., Noel MacMaster, Marlene and Michelle Geib, Sam Savage, Ingrid Price, Robert Russo, Brian Trayers, Kris Mather, Eric and Judy Borman, Diane Staples, Freda Euerle and Revelation Riders, Pastor Tom Dornan, Dawn Dornan, Amber Dornan, Candace Dornan, Scott & Patty Deagle, Don Staples, James Gardner, Joe Amrhein, Steve Roberts, Keith Price, Jim Spicer, Frank Rugusa and Danielle Luhrs and especially I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for providing, sending, and using us as an outreach to further His mission field. The Harvest is plentiful and it appears the workers are too, may it all be your Glory Lord!

Hi all,

I just want to say thank you  for a great day from all of us Chapter 400 members.
It’s great to see fellowship in our Lord Jesus Christ. In this upside down world all we ever hear about is terror, murder, wars, etc.
Jesus is the answer to prayer and plays a big part in our lives.

Without Him our lives would be lost.

Again, thank you for a great day and thank you Jesus for bringing us together in your name.

Amen.
